Dear THORWallet community,

Please find here the recording and summary of our second Weekly THORWallet AMA episode with the THORWallet Founder Marcel Harmann and hosted by Archon which took place live in Discord on the 2nd of December.

These Weekly AMAs respectively update sessions will always be available on-demand. They are a crucial instrument to keep users and community members up to date about recent developments and important news. We will talk about product development, introduce individual team members, discuss roadmap items, and much more.

Status Regarding IDO Phase 2

Everyone in the community is currently waiting for a clear date for phase 2 of the IDO and we are well aware of that. Currently, we are still waiting for the ETH v3 router upgrade on the THORChain side and the date for the next suitable cap raise.

Update: in the meantime the date for phase 2 got communicated.

AppStore Release of iOS App

The release of the THORWallet app in the iOS AppStore has been a huge success with already around a 1000 downloads. We also got already some 5star reviews so many thanks for that!

The team is continuously gathering feedback and is already working on some of the minor bugs which have been identified by the early users.

We are confident in the security and stability of the app at this point and have already seen some significant swaps happening through the app.

The Testflight app will be continued for now to test new features before they are released in the production version.

Availability of the THORWallet App in the US

Some users complained that the THORWallet App is not available yet in the US Apple AppStore. We are aware of this and are currently working with our lawyers to make it happen. As you know, the regulatory situation in the US is complicated but we are still optimistic.

For the far future, the existence of non-KYC apps in Apple’s or Google’s App Stores will be very much dependent on the overall regulatory situation and the pressure that governments mike put on Apple and Google itself to remove such apps. But we are observing the situation closely and will always have a plan B ready (like HTML-based apps, a web app, APK download for Android etc.)

The whole team is working tirelessly on realizing a huge roadmap based on improvements and new features for the app. We will also bring all ThorFi features (functionality enabled by THORChain itself) such as THORSavings, Synths, interest-bearing $RUNE, etc.
